Full Member

Any person who is employed as the chief appointed administrative head of a local government; or, any person who is employed as a deputy or assistant reporting to the chief appointed administrative head of a local government. This category includes any person who meets the definition above and is employed in an appointed Acting or Interim position not to exceed a year without approval of the GCCMA Board. Dues: $350 per year.

Affiliate Member

Any person who is employed in an administrative position by a local government that is not included in the definition of a Full Member; or any person employed in an administrative position with an association of local governments, the State of Georgia, the United States Government or any agency thereof, or whose principal occupation is the teaching of public administration or closely allied subjects. This category does not include any person whose principal occupation, either full or part-time, is providing indirect administrative services to a local government. Dues: $350 per year.

Corporate Partner

Any person or company seeking or engaged in a business relationship with a local government. Unlike other membership categories, this membership is in the company name and remains with the company, not the individual. This is a non-voting membership. Dues: $600 per year.

Student Member

Any full-time student who intends to follow a career in local government or to teach public administration. Dues: $25 per year.

Retired Member

Any person who has been a Full Member of this Association and has transitioned to a Retired employment status. This category can include individuals who are employed in an appointed Acting or Interim position for a short-term or intermittent period of time not to exceed a year without approval of the GCCMA Board. However, a Retired Member shall not qualify for any other membership category within the Association. Dues: $50 per year.

Honorary Member

The Association may, from time to time, elect to bestow membership in the Association to persons who have rendered distinguished service to the profession and to local government and who are neither active nor associate members of the Association. Honorary membership is intended to be highly selective and limited and shall be determined only upon the unanimous consent of the Board of Directors. Honorary members shall be ineligible to vote or to hold office. Honorary Members shall receive complimentary membership. Dues: waived

Member-in-Transition

Any person who has been a Full Member of this Association and is in the process of transitioning between local government managerial positions. Dues: waived

Membership Dues
